Texas vs. COVID-19: A Game-Changer is Necessary

While other states are working tirelessly to flatten the curve, the pandemic rages on in Texas.

Samuel Botros lays out the factors at play in the state of COVID-19 in the Lone Star State:

So what exactly is keeping Texas from overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic? With a population of more than 29 million people, one might assume that proximity is an issue. But according to Samuel Botros: that just can’t be. Texas, overall, is far from dense in population. In fact, it doesn’t even rank in the top ten most densely populated states in America.

This leaves one to wonder: why is Texas struggling with the pandemic more than other states? Well, as it would turn out, this is a matter of behavior — not the environment. Memorial Day weekend certainly set the tone for the downfall… overzealous bars and restaurants enthusiastically ignored 25% capacity limit regulations. And, to be expected, there were plenty of social distancing violations…. At least 200 complaints were called into Houston City authorities, for starters.

The state of Texas in the face of COVID-19 is a harsh reminder to all states that abiding by regulations and rules regarding the pandemic is imperative. As always, Samuel Botros and his staff remind patients to practice social distancing, wear a mask in public, and refrain from participating in any social gatherings.
